公司由原(yuan)江蘇(su)省建設廳二個直屬事業(ye)機構江蘇(su)省工(gong)程造價事務所和江蘇(su)省建威工(gong)程招標(biao)中心(xin)按照國務院有關(guan)文件精(jing)神要求脫鉤改(gai)制(zhi)合并重組，成(cheng)立于2002年3月。
江(jiang)蘇省工程造價事務(wu)所和(he)江(jiang)蘇省建威(wei)工程招標中心是當時全省工程造價領域(yu)和(he)工程招標代理(li)服務(wu)領域(yu)內(nei)最大的(de)(de)獨立(li)專(zhuan)(zhuan)業(ye)機構。除了面向社會提供咨詢服務(wu)外(wai)，公司(si)前身機構參與了專(zhuan)(zhuan)項(xiang)治理(li)審計、省建設工程有形市場(chang)的(de)(de)標底(di)審核服務(wu)、重(zhong)點建設項(xiang)目的(de)(de)造價評(ping)估和(he)決算審核工作(zuo)以及省內(nei)一些大中型工程建設項(xiang)目的(de)(de)招標代理(li)服務(wu)。
改(gai)制后，上(shang)述機構合并重組為(wei)江蘇建(jian)威(wei)工程咨詢有限公(gong)(gong)司(si)(si)。新公(gong)(gong)司(si)(si)秉承(cheng)優良(liang)傳統，恪守職(zhi)業準則，以公(gong)(gong)正(zheng)、誠信(xin)為(wei)本繼續開拓(tuo)發(fa)(fa)展。業務(wu)類型的廣(guang)度和深度都得到進一步(bu)拓(tuo)展，業務(wu)收入(ru)和公(gong)(gong)司(si)(si)規模(mo)逐步(bu)擴大。目前公(gong)(gong)司(si)(si)已(yi)發(fa)(fa)展成為(wei)綜合性的咨詢公(gong)(gong)司(si)(si)，成為(wei)中(zhong)國工程造價管理協(xie)(xie)會(hui)(hui)、中(zhong)國工程咨詢協(xie)(xie)會(hui)(hui)、江蘇省招標代理協(xie)(xie)會(hui)(hui)、江蘇省工程造價管理協(xie)(xie)會(hui)(hui)的會(hui)(hui)員單位。
